Who and Why?
What would possess a young couple to purchase a caravan park...?
Well.
In 2017 Adam & Emma set out to move to Spain for a year. Instead, they bought a camper van affectionally named Murphy and travelled Europe. Along the way they accidentally found themselves building an off-grid tiny house cabin in the Wicklow Mountains of Ireland. There, they fell in love with the natural landscapes and the uniqueness of the building and decided they needed to bring that feeling home with them.
So from a 'tiny' project came the very grand idea for an entire park of themed cabins and activities!
After looking at dozens properties over twelve months they eventually found this beautiful property in the Mary Valley, and after several visits worked out how they could turn their overall vision into a reality.
In September of 2019 Adam and Emma purchased 'Cambroon Caravan Park' and spent a very busy six months cleaning, renovating, welcoming guests and rebranding to re-launch as 'Kookaburra Park' in March 2020.
Open for only 10 days before COVID shut everything down, they re-opened mid June 2020. An interesting year to launch a new business that's for sure!
Since then the park has grown and changed as new cabins, sites, activities and amenities have been created. What was a neglected property full of potential is now a unique and very special place that has seen dozens of couples get married (including us!) and has become our guests favourite place to return to.
Kookaburra Park has also become an animal sanctuary, with all of the animals being rescued or adopted. You'll get to meet and feed the fury crew during your stay!

The dream is to create our very own 'favourite place in the world' that is also our guests most favourite place to return to.
Adams background can only be described as random. Having spent time on many work sites he is a jack of all trades, master of none! Throw in a semi-professional mixed martial arts career and a brief stint in running his own massage therapy business and you've got the makings of a one man maintenance and building team!
Emma grew up in a Garden Centre before focussing her career in business development after graduating with a business degree and spending three years at a Summer Camp in the USA. Blending her talents and passions into her dream property, she's the idea machine behind many of parks unique existing and upcoming accommodations & attractions (the House of Games in particular is an exciting one!)
We both quit our jobs to pursue the ultimate lifestyle and absolutely love sharing it with our guests.
We often get asked how we manage working and living together 24/7... and the answer is... if we survived living in a tiny camper van and tiny house for over a year, existing on 75 acres together is easy!
Kookaburra Park is now home to our own mini Ranger who has no idea how strange and awesome her life is yet!
We hope you love our piece of the Mary Valley as much as we do.
